Outline
The Danielle Sirmai Memorial Award is a travel award for an international internship, mooting program or course of study abroad.
It is expected that the award will promote and foster further study of international arbitration or private international law and develop expertise in these fields in Australia.
The Award is in memory of the life and work of Danielle Nicole Sirmai, née Feller.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be currently enrolled in a UNSW eligible degree program:
- Juris Doctor program; or
- Postgraduate Law program; or
- Third year or above of an undergraduate dual program in Law.
- Be eligible to undertake:
- An internship at an approved organisation/entity located outside of Australia; or
- A specialised course study at an approved institution located outside Australia; or
- An elective in an approved International Mooting Program which includes but is not limited to LAWS3086/JURD7486 International Law Competitive Moot or LAWS3510/JURD7610 International Commercial Mediation Competition
- Academic Merit;
- Aptitude and commitment to studies in international arbitration or private international law;
- Contributions to the wider community through engagement in relevant extra-curricular activities, contribution to university life or leadership qualities; and
- Reasons for undertaking the international travel and intended internship/course of study/mooting program.

Australia Scholarships
ANU Master of Philosophy Scholarship »
Overview
ANU Master of Philosophy Scholarships are funded by individual academic Colleges. It is expected that recipients will study on a full-time basis. However, in accordance with strict criteria, the scholarship can be awarded for part-time study. International scholars must undertake study on a full-time basis.
Eligibility
The scholarships are available to potential and current students who:
- are domestic or international students; and
- have applied for admission to a Master of Philosophy Research program at the ANU; and
- have a Bachelor degree with first-class Honours (some Colleges may consider applicants with upper second-class Honours), or a Master degree with a research component from a recognised University.
Benefits
- Travel & removal allowance for students relocating to Canberra to commence their Master of Philosophy program;
- Dependant Child Allowance (International students only)
- Thesis Allowance

No application is necessary as all eligible students will be considered.
Further information
In order to be considered for this scholarship in the main round of scholarship offers International students are required to apply for admission by 31 August. Domestic students are required to apply for admission by 31 October. Colleges may consider offering these scholarships at any time of the year..

Overview
A number of ANU Tuition Scholarships are funded and awarded by individual Colleges and determined as part of the application process. This scholarship covers international student tuition fees.
Eligibility
Bachelor degree with first-class or upper second class honours, or a research Master degree from a recognised university; International students.

How to apply
Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the relevant Graduate Studies Convener or a prospective supervisor, prior to lodging an application, to discuss the proposed research topic and related matters.
Further information
It is expected that the scholarship normally will be taken up by 31 March in the year for which it is awarded, although, subject to the approval of the prospective supervisor, Head of Department and Dean/Director, a later start date may be possible. The date by which a scholarship must be taken up in a particular instance will be made clear in the formal letter of offer for the scholarship.
