The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy, Division of Medicinal Chemistry and Pharmacognosy (http://pharmacy.osu.edu/about/ medicinal-chemistry-pharmacognosy) is seeking three new tenure-track faculty in synthetic or natural products anticancer drug discovery. Individuals are sought to fill the following positions:
1) A full professor with a strong track record of funding, including current support from the National Cancer Institute (NCI), focused on the discovery of cancer therapeutics. Leadership opportunities are available with this position. 2) An associate or assistant professor focused on anticancer drug discovery. NCI funding is required at the associate professor level. 3) An associate or assistant professor specializing in computer-aided drug design and the in silico exploration of anticancer targets. NCI funding is required at the associate professor level. Candidates must hold a PhD or an equivalent degree. These positions present translational opportunities, signifying a joint recruiting effort between the College of Pharmacy and The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center (OSUCCC, cancer.osu.edu). The OSUCCC is one of 49 NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers and has earned the NCI’s highest ranking of “exceptional” during the last two CCC-designation grant cycles. Our more than 340 cancer researchers, who collectively represent 11 of the 15 colleges at Ohio State, generate $90 million in research funding each year, including $54 million in NCI funding. In addition to partnerships with the OSUCCC, opportunities for collaboration exist within the College of Pharmacy (pharmacy.osu.edu), as well as with the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, College of Arts and Sciences (chemistry.osu.edu), The Ohio State University Drug Development Institute (cancer.osu.edu/research-and-education/drug-development-institute), The Ohio State University Infectious Diseases Institute (idi.osu.edu), the Center for Clinical and Translational Science (ccts.osu.edu), the College of Medicine (medicine.osu.edu), the College of Veterinary Medicine (vet.osu.edu) as well as Nationwide Children’s Hospital (nationwidechildrens.org). The Classroom Assistant will support the classrooms serving children from ages 0-3 years and creating and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for young children. This position is responsible for daily care of the children enrolled in his/her class. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: physical caregiving, following an age appropriate daily plan, and facilitation of supportive relationships with co-workers, parents, and students. The Classroom Assistant II ensures, supports, and promotes each child’s safety, health, and development in cooperation with their families and other early childhood professionals in a manner consistent with NAEYC, NJDHS and child care licensing regulations |

Minimum Education and Experience |
AA degree, preferably in the field of Early Childhood Education of Child Development from an accredited public or private institution of higher education. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for Preschool Caregivers required or an equivalent credential that addresses comparable competencies; or must obtain the credential within one year of employment as a Classroom Assistant II. |

Must have (or be willing to obtain) training and experience necessary to develop consistent, stable, and supportive relationships with very young children. Ability to work as part of a multi-program/disciplinary team in providing a variety of services to children and families. Experience working with children from low income families. Valid First Aid/CPR card, food handler’s card, negative TB test, and clear criminal background check required. |

Skills:
