Job Summary: The Facilities Student Assistant is responsible for entry of daily time for staff. Other duties include assigning and dispatching work orders, greeting visitors, answering office telephones, providing assistance with the preventive maintenance work order module, and other tasks as assigned. This position is located in the Facilities Complex just off campus. Normal hours of operation are M-F 7:30am-4:00pm.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Applicants must have a basic understanding of personal computers, standard application software, & common office equipment.
Preferred Qualifications: Applicants with previous experience working in an office and/or customer service environment are preferred. Applicants who can devote 20 hours per week to the position are strongly preferred.
Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for Preschool Caregivers required or an equivalent credential that addresses comparable competencies; or must obtain the credential within one year of employment as a Classroom Assistant II. |

Ability to work as part of a multi-program/disciplinary team in providing a variety of services to children and families. Experience working with children from low income families. Valid First Aid/CPR card, food handler’s card, negative TB test, and clear criminal background check required. |

Skills:
- Strong computer programming skills with particular emphasis on Python and PostgreSQL
- Strong familiarity with the UNIX/Linux operating environment and web services such as Nginx, Django and RESTful web applications
