Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Supervising Microbiologist for the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine department at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. The primary purpose of the Supervising Microbiologist is to conduct standard and developmental microbiologic and serologic tests and analyses related to specific routine functions and prepares reports. Among the key duties of this position are the following: • Supervises the determination and interpretation of test results, and the preparation and issuance of reports. |

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
• Bachelor’s Degree in a biological science including or supplemented by 12 semester hour credits in specific microbiological courses in the study of microorganisms, which includes bacteriology, virology, medical parasitology and mycology. |

• Appointee will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey as the operation of a vehicle is necessary to perform the essential duties of the position. |

The Stardust Center for Affordable Homes and the Family is offering a limited number of scholarships to support Master of Sustainability Solutions (MSUS) students who have proposed culminating experience projects designed to address and advance the need for affordable housing, recognizing that healthy sustainable communities provide a means for families to obtain, remain in and manage their homes.
Culminating experience projects may use the tools of research, community engagement, education, and public forums to raise awareness and build capacity to address the needs for quality affordable homes.

Shift Specifics: 9 hours per week; flexible with class schedule. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
