Work Study Student Worker
A&S Department of English and Comparative Literature
The McMicken College of Arts and Sciences, Department of English and Comparative Literature, is seeking a Work-Study Student Worker to provide administrative support to the department main office. Duties will include, but are not limited to: General office/clerical work; updating our website(s); helping with event planning; managing office supplies; copying/scanning documents; answering phones; cleaning; other duties as assigned. Approximately 10 hours per week.
Minimum Qualifications: The student worker must have some previous office experience, as well as, experience with computer, Microsoft Office software, using a copier/scanner. Must be the recipient of a Work Study Award based upon financial need and be admitted into a degree program. Must be enrolled at least part-time (six credit hours for undergraduate students, five credit hours for graduate students), with the exception of summer term, or will be a registered student during the next academic term. Student worker must meet the enrollment requirement for the entire semester. Must be age 17, or older.

Stardust Culminating Experience Scholarship
The Stardust Center for Affordable Homes and the Family is offering a limited number of scholarships to support Master of Sustainability Solutions (MSUS) students who have proposed culminating experience projects designed to address and advance the need for affordable housing, recognizing that healthy sustainable communities provide a means for families to obtain, remain in and manage their homes.
Culminating experience projects may use the tools of research, community engagement, education, and public forums to raise awareness and build capacity to address the needs for quality affordable homes.

Position Summary |
Performs various administrative duties including providing support to our Test Proctoring Center and volunteer programs (note taking/mentoring); greeting visitors and directing them to the appropriate area; checking in students and others who have scheduled appointments; answering incoming phone calls and routing them to the correct staff member; taking messages as needed; assisting front office staff members with duties such as filing, copying, and faxing documents. Shift Specifics: 9 hours per week; flexible with class schedule. Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.
