Risk Management and Economic Analysis Post Bachelors Student
What You Will Do_
This position is withinthe Process Modeling and Analysis Group (AET-2) in the Applied Engineering andTechnology Division at Los Alamos National Laboratory. The position isresponsible for supporting a variety of risk management and decision analysisactivities under the mentorship of a senior risk professional within the AET-2organization. While working in a team environment, the successful candidatemust also be able to work independently and also be capable of meeting with awide range of customers in order to solicit information which will then be compiledand analyzed using software applications utilized by AET-2.
The successfulcandidate will perform the following:

Maintain a safe and secure working environment.

Work as a team member with direction from the AET-2 management.

Help gather, evaluate, and track customer information for a variety ofprojects supported by AET-2 (including risk analysis, decision analysis, andeconomic analysis projects).

Work with engineers and risk professionals within the group to analyzeproject information using standard software tools employed by the group (e.g.,Excel, Visio, etc.)

With regular oversight, translate general instructions and direction into successful programmatic assessments and analyses.

Demonstrate initiative to learning new skills to contribute to the success of the team.
What You Need
Minimum Job Requirements:
-
Must have maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher in undergraduateschool and obtained a BS or BA in engineering, economics, science, or relatedfield no more than three academic years prior to the date of hire.

Demonstratedability to organize, prioritize, and complete multiple projects with strictdeadlines and changing priorities.

Stronginterpersonal communication skills.

Proficient withcomputer software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc.)

Demonstrated experience effectively working in and contributing to a teamenvironment.

Demonstrated initiative for continuous learning and development in areaof expertise.

Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance (which normally requires U.S.citizenship and always requires a drug-free life)
Desired Skills:
- Experience with or understanding of risk analysis methods
- Experience working with a variety of people to capture and compile information

Experience developing databases and tracking status of inputs on a recurring basis

Active Q clearance
Additional Details:
Clearance: Q(Position will be cleared to this level). Applicants selected will be subject to a Federal background investigation and must meet eligibility requirements* for access to classified matter.

Skills:
