Job Responsibilities: The registered nurse provides skilled, student centered nursing care in an ambulatory care clinic setting; also promotes health and well-being through health counseling and education.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of: Primary care and college health to apply to our patients/students in a clinic setting; knowledge of professional nursing theory and practices; clinical procedure skills including but not limited to starting IVs and administering injections; ability to provide telephone and in-clinic health triage; and maintain client confidentiality.

Ability to: Use electronic health record software; provide client education and counseling regarding variety of health topics; interact with a variety of patients including diverse populations; work as a dependable team member; work closely with local health agencies for collaboration and referrals; manage multiple projects and priorities.

Required license: Registered Nurse License in SD; and successful completion of registered nurse degree program.

Comments: Position would be working 3 days/week, falling in the range of 8 am – 5:00 pm Mon- Friday; possibly irregular hours in the evenings depending on the workload. Must have excellent communication skills, both verbally and written. Preferred to have 2 years registered nurse experience. This is a 9 month, 60% position with occasional summer supplemental work.
