Position Summary |
The Eller College of Management is seeking course facilitators to support faculty members teaching online courses in the Management of Information Systems. Course facilitators improve the student experience by assisting course instructors with tasks such as providing timely responses to student questions, grading assignments, holding virtual office hours, and monitoring discussion boards. Duties will vary based on course and instructor. The MIS Department provides top quality education programs and in 2017 was ranked number 3 for its undergraduate programs, and number 4 for its graduate programs by U.S. News and World Report. To support the MIS courses offered across all Eller Online programs, a pool of facilitators is being developed. This is not a continuous position. Facilitation will last the duration of the online course, which can range anywhere from 7 to 15 weeks depending on the course. This position is expected to average around 10 hours per week but generally varies week-to-week based on assignments and the course schedule. Facilitators hired for MIS courses may be asked to support other online Eller programs if qualified. Course facilitators will need to provide their own computing equipment and have access to reliable, high-speed internet. No special software will be required; although, the device(s) must be capable of accessing D2L and using virtual conferencing software. Minimum Qualifications |
Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or related field and at least five years of related work experience; OR Master’s Degree or higher in MIS or related field. |

The Stardust Center for Affordable Homes and the Family is offering a limited number of scholarships to support Master of Sustainability Solutions (MSUS) students who have proposed culminating experience projects designed to address and advance the need for affordable housing, recognizing that healthy sustainable communities provide a means for families to obtain, remain in and manage their homes.
