UCL School of Management invite the outstanding student with ambition and strong educational background to apply for the full-time MRes/PhD Programme within the three research groups at UCL School of Management.
A unique education and research experience are available for highly motivated students, with the intent of preparing them for scholarly careers at the highest level. The programme consists of four or five years of full-time study, starting with one year of courses registered as MRes (Master of Research).

Applicant Eligibility
The ideal candidate will have a first degree (top 10% of their graduating class) from a leading university, and we require candidates to take the GMAT or GRE test. A Master’s or graduate level degree is not required for admission; you can apply with only an undergraduate (eg bachelors) degree.

Analytics & Operations: Across the different research themes, there is a shared interest in management science, operations management, business analytics, and marketing science. Topics of interest include R&Dmanagement, innovation and new product development, service systems, supply chain economics, healthcare operations, marketing strategy and pricing. For candidates in this area, a degree in engineering (eg industrial, electrical, computer, mechanical, etc), economics, mathematics, statistics, or, operational research is preferred.
Organisations & Innovation: Faculty research focuses on understanding individual and team outcomes within organizations. Group members engage with a variety of perspectives and approaches including network research, experiments, and ethnographies. There is shared interest in the topics of creativity and innovation. For applicants to the PhD program, prior training in social science (e.g., social psychology, sociology, or economics) is highly relevant. But we admit applicants from a range of disciplinary backgrounds.
Strategy & Entrepreneurship: Topics of interest include innovation, business model development, organisational responses to uncertainty, corporate development, networks, R&D management, and organisational learning. Despite this diversity, there is a common focus on how firms can grow and innovate. Previous successful candidates in this area have undergraduate or postgraduate degrees in engineering, business and economics, but we will consider candidates with a wide variety of backgrounds.
