To serve as a Comprehensive Alcohol Program (CAP) Peer Educator facilitating on-campus large group in-person alcohol awareness sessions for incoming first-year students comprised of residence hall students, commuter students and athletes. Must assist with session set up and take down. Weekly follow-up discussions with CAP GAs are required.

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.
- Must attach Fall 2018 class schedule
- No less than a 2.5 GPA in the preceding semester
- Shall not have graduated from the university at the time of selection for the position
- GPA from Spring 2018 semester and enrollment for Fall 2018 will be confirmed prior to the required August training
Skills:
- Complete understanding of OU Comprehensive Alcohol Program including Alcohol Policy and Three Strikes Policy (http://www.ou.edu/content/ucc/cap)
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups of mixed genders from varied backgrounds
- Good communication/presentation skills
- Good group facilitation (discussion) skills
Advertised Physical Requirements:
- Lift less than 25 pounds

- Undergraduate student with Sophomore or greater status

Special Instructions:
- Interviews will be conducted during the late Spring 2017 and Summer 2017 terms. You will be contacted for an appointment if chosen for an interview. Hired students must attend two half-day trainings, both of which are mandatory . The first half day training will take place the morning of Monday, August 14, 2017 and the second half day training will take place the afternoon of Tuesday, August 15, 2017.

The Classroom Assistant will support the classrooms serving children from ages 0-3 years and creating and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for young children. Minimum Education and Experience |
AA degree, preferably in the field of Early Childhood Education of Child Development from an accredited public or private institution of higher education. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for Preschool Caregivers required or an equivalent credential that addresses comparable competencies; or must obtain the credential within one year of employment as a Classroom Assistant II. |

Must have (or be willing to obtain) training and experience necessary to develop consistent, stable, and supportive relationships with very young children. Ability to work as part of a multi-program/disciplinary team in providing a variety of services to children and families. Experience working with children from low income families. Valid First Aid/CPR card, food handler’s card, negative TB test, and clear criminal background check required. |
