Description of primary duties and responsibilities: | Participate in structured educational pipeline activities leading to graduate school (PhD focus) including participation in hands-on Biotechniques Workshops; Enrichment Seminars; faculty-mentored intramural and extramural research; Scientific Communications and interdisciplinary research courses; local and national research symposia and conferences; and a full Graduate Record Examination (GRE) preparatory workshop. |
Description of Work Continued: | Students who are committed to completing all aspects of the program and have a strong interest in pursuing graduate study in biology or chemistry are encouraged to apply to the FSU–RISE program. Undergraduate students taking at least twelve (12) semester hours or graduate students taking at least nine (9) semseter hours are considered full-time students and are therefore unable to work more than 20 hours per week total. This provision includes any job in which the student receives compensation from Fayetteville State University. Please call the Office of Human Resources for further information. |

Stardust Culminating Experience Scholarship
The Stardust Center for Affordable Homes and the Family is offering a limited number of scholarships to support Master of Sustainability Solutions (MSUS) students who have proposed culminating experience projects designed to address and advance the need for affordable housing, recognizing that healthy sustainable communities provide a means for families to obtain, remain in and manage their homes.
Culminating experience projects may use the tools of research, community engagement, education, and public forums to raise awareness and build capacity to address the needs for quality affordable homes.
