Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university by date of first pay period; possess and maintain a valid Indiana driver’s license and be insurable under the university’s auto fleet policy; must be 21 years of age. Experience working with students or youth of any age; or experience as a volunteer, working with, or helping others in a school, in-home, or any other setting. Preferred experience: Experience as a resident assistant or summer residential camp counselor; experience with gifted high school students. Evidence of strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to be flexible. Requires successful completion of a background check. |

The Classroom Assistant will support the classrooms serving children from ages 0-3 years and creating and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for young children. Skills:
- Strong computer programming skills with particular emphasis on Python and PostgreSQL
- Strong familiarity with the UNIX/Linux operating environment and web services such as Nginx, Django and RESTful web applications
Department Preferences:
- Optional experience with mobile app development on Android and/or iOS is a plus
- Experience debugging and/or trouble shooting software and hardware issues
- Experience working with complex software applications and web-based communications
