Alumni Scholarship
The Alumni Scholarship aims to offer support to an alumnus from the University of Southern Queensland (USQ) who has shown commitment to staying connected and engaged with the USQ Alumni Network. Whether it is through contributing to a USQ Chapter, championing USQ pride, or demonstrating their support through attending and/or spreading awareness of events, programs and opportunities for fellow alumni. The scholarship is designed for an alumnus who is returning to USQ to further their studies.
Value
The scholarship will have a maximum value of $10 000.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- be an Alumnus of USQ* returning to study a subsequent or postgraduate degree with USQ
- commence or continue their studies in Semester 1 2018
- be enrolled in a USQ program and studying on-campus, external or online
- be enrolled in a minimum of 1 study unit in Semester 1 and Semester 2 of each year of study
* Have received an Award (as defined in the USQ Policy and Procedure Library) from the University of Southern Queensland or one of its predecessor institutions: Queensland Institute of Technology Darling Downs, Darling Downs Institute of Advanced Education, or University College of Southern Queensland.
Selection criteria
Applicants must:
- submit a personal statement (two page maximum) outlining:
- current involvement or desire to be involved in activities of the Alumni Network through attending, volunteering and engaging with the Alumni network
- a description of your educational aims and goals
- why you think you should be considered for this scholarship
- submit an academic resume (two page maximum) demonstrating evidence of high academic achievement (transcript of results) and extra-curricular activities

Applications can also be delivered to Student Services at Ipswich or Springfield Campuses.
If you are lodging multiple applications, you must complete separate application forms, each with a set of supporting documents. The Scholarships Office does not copy supporting documents. Multiple applications may be posted/delivered in the same envelope as long as they are stapled separately.
Applications will be accepted if posted on the due date (must be date stamped by Australia Post).
Applications will not be accepted via fax or email.

ANU Master of Philosophy Scholarship »
Overview
ANU Master of Philosophy Scholarships are funded by individual academic Colleges. It is expected that recipients will study on a full-time basis. However, in accordance with strict criteria, the scholarship can be awarded for part-time study. International scholars must undertake study on a full-time basis.
Eligibility
The scholarships are available to potential and current students who:
- are domestic or international students; and
- have applied for admission to a Master of Philosophy Research program at the ANU; and
- have a Bachelor degree with first-class Honours (some Colleges may consider applicants with upper second-class Honours), or a Master degree with a research component from a recognised University.
Benefits
- Travel & removal allowance for students relocating to Canberra to commence their Master of Philosophy program;
- Dependant Child Allowance (International students only)
- Thesis Allowance

No application is necessary as all eligible students will be considered.
Further information
In order to be considered for this scholarship in the main round of scholarship offers International students are required to apply for admission by 31 August. Domestic students are required to apply for admission by 31 October. Colleges may consider offering these scholarships at any time of the year..
It is strongly encouraged to make contact with the relevant Graduate Studies Convener or a prospective supervisor, prior to lodging an application for admission, to discuss the proposed research topic and related matters.

Overview
A number of ANU Tuition Scholarships are funded and awarded by individual Colleges and determined as part of the application process. This scholarship covers international student tuition fees.
Eligibility
Bachelor degree with first-class or upper second class honours, or a research Master degree from a recognised university; International students.

How to apply
Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the relevant Graduate Studies Convener or a prospective supervisor, prior to lodging an application, to discuss the proposed research topic and related matters.
Further information
It is expected that the scholarship normally will be taken up by 31 March in the year for which it is awarded, although, subject to the approval of the prospective supervisor, Head of Department and Dean/Director, a later start date may be possible. The date by which a scholarship must be taken up in a particular instance will be made clear in the formal letter of offer for the scholarship.

Selection basis
- outstanding level of musical ability;
- accomplishment as a pianist or composer; and
- possesses the potential to make an outstanding contribution as a musician.
