Catering and Hospitality QM currently provide services via a business portfolio made up of catering outlets across all QMUL sites, catering directly for students, staff and summer guests. Additionally, it delivers a very successful and busy Catering Hospitality services for key University events throughout the year such as Conferences, Guest Night, Graduations, Summer Schools and weddings.
The role of Chef de Partie will manage the effective preparation, cooking, display and service of all food and beverages to the highest standards. The role holder will report directly into the Head Chef, and be involved in the effective running of the food and beverage service on a day to day basis.
The successful candidate should hold a City and Guilds 706 1/2 qualification or equivalent as well as relevant experience of working in commercial catering or hospitality environment. Candidates should have a high standard of food knowledge, cooking ability and presentation as well as good knowledge of health & safety, COSHH and HACCP procedures.
The post is full time and permanent; with a salary within the range of Salary £21,696 – £26,556 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, 4 University closure days and a pension scheme.
Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.

Skills:
- Strong computer programming skills with particular emphasis on Python and PostgreSQL
- Strong familiarity with the UNIX/Linux operating environment and web services such as Nginx, Django and RESTful web applications
