The Medication Management Center is a pharmacist run call center focused on delivering innovative medication therapy management services. The center’s programs primarily focus on providing medication therapy management services to patients with asthma, diabetes, COPD, and CHF. However, the center provides medication therapy management services to patients with all types of medication management needs.

We invite applicants to apply for this on-call (non-benefit eligible) position to support the growing and the dynamic needs our Center. The On Call Medication Management Specialist will conduct clinical patient care services for patients over the phone. Calls will consists of scheduled appointments, escalated cases, precepting student pharmacists, and perform other duties related to the provision of the medication therapy management services.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide medication management services to patients over the phone.
  • Complete comprehensive medication reviews.
  • Make outbound “cold calls” offering medication management services.
  • Provide counseling via a structured interview format as required by the program sponsor. Structure of counseling sessions may vary depending on program sponsor.
  • Make therapeutic recommendations to optimize medication regimens including but not limited to generic substitutions, duplicate therapy, and therapeutic interchanges.
  • Contact the Patient’s prescriber(s) to authorize therapeutic interchanges, review potential duplicate therapies, or otherwise consult with the prescriber as appropriate and convey any Patient therapeutic change authorizations from prescribers as well as any other recommendations for therapy modifications to the patient’s dispending pharmacy.
  • Document all services provided and recommendations made including declination of service by patients.
  • Maintain performance standards, including call volume, consistent with other Medication Management Center ON CALL pharmacists.
  • Supervise pharmacy interns and pharmacy technicians providing medication management services.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Minimum Qualifications
  • Clinical expertise in medication therapy management.
  • BS or Pharm.D from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Current, unrestricted license to practice pharmacy. State of licensure and requirements varies based on location and role.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in geriatrics.
  • Call center experience.
  • Multilingual.
  • Experience working with computer applications including Microsoft Office (i.e Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and Mozilla web browser.
  • Reside in Tucson or Phoenix, AZ.

Posting Summary

The Classroom Assistant will support the classrooms serving children from ages 0-3 years and creating and maintaining a safe and stimulating environment for young children. This position is responsible for daily care of the children enrolled in his/her class. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: physical caregiving, following an age appropriate daily plan, and facilitation of supportive relationships with co-workers, parents, and students. The Classroom Assistant II ensures, supports, and promotes each child’s safety, health, and development in cooperation with their families and other early childhood professionals in a manner consistent with NAEYC, NJDHS and child care licensing regulations

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience

AA degree, preferably in the field of Early Childhood Education of Child Development from an accredited public or private institution of higher education. Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for Preschool Caregivers required or an equivalent credential that addresses comparable competencies; or must obtain the credential within one year of employment as a Classroom Assistant II.

Preferred Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Must have (or be willing to obtain) training and experience necessary to develop consistent, stable, and supportive relationships with very young children. Ability to work as part of a multi-program/disciplinary team in providing a variety of services to children and families. Experience working with children from low income families. Valid First Aid/CPR card, food handler’s card, negative TB test, and clear criminal background check required.

Job Description

 

The Cooperative Institute for Mesoscale Meteorological Studies (CIMMS) seeks to fill a Student Assistant position to contribute to CIMMS Meteorological Phenomena Identification Near the Ground (mPING) project (http://mping.ou.edu/).

The principal duties of this position are:

  • Develop technical expertise with the Python/Django RESTful system and the packages and tools used in the mPING project
  • Develop a plan for system improvements and changes to the mPING system with CIMMS personnel
  • Document the project by way of creating appropriate wiki pages
  • Potentially work on creating automated backup and system monitoring tools
  • Potentially make modifications and improvements to the iOS and Android mPING apps
  • Potentially develop new display web tools for research purposes
  •  

     

    Job Requirements

     

    Required Education: Must be currently enrolled in the current Fall 2018 Term as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon verification of current student status.

    • Must attach Fall 2018 oZONE class schedule.

    Skills:

    • Strong computer programming skills with particular emphasis on Python and PostgreSQL
    • Strong familiarity with the UNIX/Linux operating environment and web services such as Nginx, Django and RESTful web applications

    Department Preferences:

    • Optional experience with mobile app development on Android and/or iOS is a plus
    • Experience debugging and/or trouble shooting software and hardware issues
    • Experience working with complex software applications and web-based communications
