USQ International 2018 Bursary
In 2018, University of Southern Queensland will offer five study bursaries to eligible international students.
Value
Each bursary will have a maximum value of AUD5000.
The bursaries will be credited directly to the recipient’s USQ student account as a contribution towards their tuition fees.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- be an international student
- not be a sponsored student
- apply for admission prior to the bursary closing date
- be a commencing student
- be an undergraduate or postgraduate student
- hold an international student visa
- be enrolled on-campus at Toowoomba, Springfield or Ipswich
- be enrolled in a minimum of 4 study units for Semester 1 and 4 study units for Semester 2 2018
- study in the semester and program indicated on their Letter of Offer
Selection criteria
Applicants must:
- complete an International Scholarship/Bursary Application Form by the closing date
- provide evidence of academic achievement e.g. high school report card or post-secondary academic history, as applicable
- have a minimum of sound level of academic achievement
USQ will use information from your admission application to assess your scholarship application.

Applicants will be considered for this bursary based on the information provided in their USQ International Scholarship/Bursary Application Form (PDF 612KB).

Australia Scholarships
ANU Master of Philosophy Scholarship »
Overview
ANU Master of Philosophy Scholarships are funded by individual academic Colleges. It is expected that recipients will study on a full-time basis. However, in accordance with strict criteria, the scholarship can be awarded for part-time study. International scholars must undertake study on a full-time basis.
Eligibility
The scholarships are available to potential and current students who:
- are domestic or international students; and
- have applied for admission to a Master of Philosophy Research program at the ANU; and
- have a Bachelor degree with first-class Honours (some Colleges may consider applicants with upper second-class Honours), or a Master degree with a research component from a recognised University.
Benefits
- Travel & removal allowance for students relocating to Canberra to commence their Master of Philosophy program;
- Dependant Child Allowance (International students only)
- Thesis Allowance

No application is necessary as all eligible students will be considered.
Further information
In order to be considered for this scholarship in the main round of scholarship offers International students are required to apply for admission by 31 August. Domestic students are required to apply for admission by 31 October. Colleges may consider offering these scholarships at any time of the year..
It is strongly encouraged to make contact with the relevant Graduate Studies Convener or a prospective supervisor, prior to lodging an application for admission, to discuss the proposed research topic and related matters.

Overview
A number of ANU Tuition Scholarships are funded and awarded by individual Colleges and determined as part of the application process. This scholarship covers international student tuition fees.
Eligibility
Bachelor degree with first-class or upper second class honours, or a research Master degree from a recognised university; International students.
Eligible program: Master of Philosophy
How to apply
Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the relevant Graduate Studies Convener or a prospective supervisor, prior to lodging an application, to discuss the proposed research topic and related matters.
Further information
It is expected that the scholarship normally will be taken up by 31 March in the year for which it is awarded, although, subject to the approval of the prospective supervisor, Head of Department and Dean/Director, a later start date may be possible. The date by which a scholarship must be taken up in a particular instance will be made clear in the formal letter of offer for the scholarship.
