Background
This is an excellent and exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to be part of the Outreach and Student Recruitment Team based on the fourth floor of Rochester House.
The Team also has a responsibility for engaging with schools and colleges in relation to the recruitment of students to new areas of the University’s work which includes developments around Engineering, the joint Medical School and other new programme areas developed by the University’s existing faculties.
The Graduate Trainee is a key member of the Outreach and Student Recruitment Team, whose aim is to engage, inform and attract potential undergraduate students to the University. The post holder will work closely with the Manager of the Outreach and Student Recruitment Team, the School and College Engagement Officer and other Graduate Trainees to focus on the development and delivery of recruitment activities to non-partner schools and colleges. The post holder will also attend careers and HE events organised by non-partner schools in the greater south-east area, including London. The post holder will also help to co-ordinate student tour guides and ambassadors at events such as Open Days, to boost applications and recruited students to the University’s undergraduate full-time programme
The Role
The Graduate Trainee role will provide an excellent foundation for those looking to establish a career in Higher Education Marketing and Communications.
The post-holder will use their recent experience of studying at CCCU to support the other members of the Outreach and Student Recruitment Team in relation to the recruitment of new students to the University. This will include delivering recruitment activities to non-partner schools and colleges and attending Higher Education fairs and school events.
Support the Student Recruitment Officer on school and college site visits, helping to maintain good relationships with schools and colleges you will also assist with Open Days and events across the CCCU campus network. You will also support student tour guide recruitment and training and act as student tour guide co-ordinator and mentor.
It is expected that the Graduate Trainee will proactively develop their knowledge and understanding of the student recruitment lifecycle in order to give friendly, professional and appropriate advice, support and assistance to all enquirers.
Requirements
You should have a recent undergraduate degree, preferably at 2.2 or above from CCCU. You must be able to demonstrate that you have experience in a customer service focused environment.
You will have good communication and organisational skills, the ability to work under pressure, use your own initiative and to work within a team.

This post is fixed term for a 2 year period.

Minimum Education and Experience |

Valid First Aid/CPR card, food handler’s card, negative TB test, and clear criminal background check required. |

Skills:
