Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) Accommodation Costs Scholarship
The purpose of the Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) Education Costs Scholarship is to financially assist Indigenous students on low incomes who are from regional and remote areas.
Successful undergraduate, postgraduate, TPP and IHEPP students will receive a one-off payment for Semester 1, 2018. Students may be eligible for both the ISSP Education Costs Scholarship and the ISSP Accommodation Costs Scholarship. Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis.
If you currently hold an on-going Commonwealth Scholarship (ICECS, ICAS, IECECS, IECAS) you cannot also accept the ISSP Scholarship. If you are offered and wish to accept an ISSP Scholarship, you are required to cancel your Commonwealth Scholarship in writing.
Students who received the ISSP Scholarship in 2017 are encouraged to apply again in 2018.
Value
The scholarship will have a maximum value of $2000 for full-time students (3 or 4 courses) and $1000 for part-time students (1 or 2 courses).
This is a one-off payment.
The value of a Commonwealth Scholarship is NOT considered income for Centrelink purposes. Students who have accepted a Relocation Scholarship from Centrelink are not eligible for this scholarship.
Eligibility
To be eligible applicants must:
- be Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent
- be an Australian Citizen
- be enrolled in any IHEPP, TPP, undergraduate or postgraduate study at USQ
- be from a low income background
- have relocated from a regional or remote area in order to undertake study
- be enrolled on-campus
A map detailing regional and remote areas according to the Australian Standard Geographic Classification (ASGC) can be accessed from the ‘Search the Map’ tab at: www.doctorconnect.gov.au . Students from the major city classification are not eligible.

Incomplete applications cannot be processed. Make sure all questions have been answered and supporting documents are provided.
It is strongly recommended that a personal statement is included to ensure all circumstances are taken into consideration.

ANU Master of Philosophy Scholarship »
Overview
ANU Master of Philosophy Scholarships are funded by individual academic Colleges. It is expected that recipients will study on a full-time basis. However, in accordance with strict criteria, the scholarship can be awarded for part-time study. International scholars must undertake study on a full-time basis.
Eligibility
The scholarships are available to potential and current students who:
- are domestic or international students; and
- have applied for admission to a Master of Philosophy Research program at the ANU; and
- have a Bachelor degree with first-class Honours (some Colleges may consider applicants with upper second-class Honours), or a Master degree with a research component from a recognised University.
Benefits
- Travel & removal allowance for students relocating to Canberra to commence their Master of Philosophy program;
- Dependant Child Allowance (International students only)
- Thesis Allowance

No application is necessary as all eligible students will be considered.

In order to be considered for this scholarship in the main round of scholarship offers International students are required to apply for admission by 31 August. Domestic students are required to apply for admission by 31 October. Colleges may consider offering these scholarships at any time of the year..

Overview
A number of ANU Tuition Scholarships are funded and awarded by individual Colleges and determined as part of the application process. This scholarship covers international student tuition fees.
Eligibility
Bachelor degree with first-class or upper second class honours, or a research Master degree from a recognised university; International students.

Applicants are strongly encouraged to contact the relevant Graduate Studies Convener or a prospective supervisor, prior to lodging an application, to discuss the proposed research topic and related matters.
Further information
It is expected that the scholarship normally will be taken up by 31 March in the year for which it is awarded, although, subject to the approval of the prospective supervisor, Head of Department and Dean/Director, a later start date may be possible. The date by which a scholarship must be taken up in a particular instance will be made clear in the formal letter of offer for the scholarship.
