The Mayo High School is pleased to announce the “Minnesota Citizens Concerned For Life 2017 Scholarship Essay”. High school seniors who are planning to pursue postsecondary education are eligible to apply for the 2017 scholarship essay. The Mayo High School’s mission is to inspire, challenge, and empower all students with the knowledge and skills required to reach their full potential, to contribute to future generations, and to become involved members of a global community.The program will award three scholarships. The first place winner will get up to $500, second place winner will get up to $200, and third place winner will get up to $100.
Mayo High School is an American high school in Rochester, Minnesota. It is named after the brothers William James Mayo and Charles Horace Mayo, physicians and founders of the Mayo Clinic.

- The applicant must be planning to pursue postsecondary education
How to Apply
- To enter, the scholarship requires a persuasive essay, 500 to 700 words addressing the essay on the following topic: Why I am pro-life. The pro-life position is the position that human life is valuable and deserves legal protection regardless of the stage of development or physical or mental capacity.
- Essays should be 12 points Arial font. Essays should not be submitted as attachments. Applicant’s name, address, telephone, e-mail and high school should appear in the body of the e-mail prior to the essay.

Three scholarships will be awarded. First place is in the amount of $500, second place in the amount of $200, and third place in the amount of $100.
Applications must be postmarked no later than April 14, 2017. Scholarship winners will be notified by May 1st, 2017.
