The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is glad to announce scholarship termed as “Margaret Powell Scholarship”. To be eligible for the scholarship you should be enrolling in or already enrolled in a course of study directly related to the construction industry. The scholarship is intended to put you in front of the people that control billions of dollars of purchasing power in Florida. The scholarship amount $1,000.00 will be given to the winners.
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) is a network for women in the field of construction. The professional association began as Women in Construction of Fort Worth, Texas. Reaching the “right people” is the ultimate goal of every marketing department.
In order to apply for the scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following eligibility
- Applicant must be female
- Applicant must reside in Lake, Seminole, Orange or Osceola County, Florida and be a United States citizen
- Applicant must attend an accredited Florida college, university, or institute of higher learning
- Applicant must be enrolling in or already enrolled in a course of study directly related to the construction industry. (Examples: civil engineering, construction technology, construction management, surveying, CAD drafting & design, etc.)
- Applicant must demonstrate a need for financial assistance. This factor will be given special consideration should the qualifications of other applicants prove relatively equal.
