About the bursary
If you choose to study the BA (Hons) Film and Television Production course at the University of Bradford, you may be eligible to apply for a Royal Television Society Bursary.
The Royal Television Society is an educational charity and the leading forum for discussion and debate on all aspects of television. The Society runs the Television Production and Broadcast Journalism Bursary, which aims to promote access to careers in television, support the industry to recruit talented graduates, and to build links between broadcasters and education providers.
The bursary provides £1,000 a year to support living expenses, membership of the Royal Television Society and affiliate membership of the Hospital Club.
This bursary provides support for students from low-income households by helping them to build a network of contacts, providing financial help and opportunities for skills development and mentoring. All of RTS’s successful bursary applicants have demonstrated ability and commitment to their chosen career, and many have gained their university places having overcome considerable difficulties. RTS is looking for enthusiastic and motivated students who will make the most of their RTS membership.
Eligibility criteria
This bursary is open to UK ‘Home’ applicants starting specified full time degree course in 2018, who are new to higher education, and have a household income of less than £25k.
This is a competitive bursary. Decisions on awards will be made by the Royal Television Society. You must have selected the course as your firm choice, and put your application in by 30 June 2018.

Skills:
- Strong computer programming skills with particular emphasis on Python and PostgreSQL
