Detailed Work Schedule | *Student must be available to work July 06, 2018-July 20, 2018 PLs are expected to participate in pre-program training on-campus for up to 3 days prior to the participants’ arrival. PLs work seven days per week. PL working hours are primarily the hours students are not in class; other commitments include the morning meeting time, class visits, and additional time for planning and preparation of activities. PL’s must be available to students 24 hours each day. PLs work weekends and have one day off per 2-week session (not to be taken on a weekend), to be scheduled by the PD and SPL. Because PLs have responsibilities during the day as well as in the evening, PLs may not take classes or hold second jobs while they are employed for this summer program. |

Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary: | The Peer Leader (PL) is responsible for the supervision, safety, and well-being of the summer program participants. The PL helps create a community where the participants can succeed socially and academically. The PL informs students of the University’s rules and expectations and works to ensure that these guidelines are followed. While students are in class, PL commitments include attendance at daily meetings, planning and preparing student activities and events, and assisting with any residential program needs that arise. The PL is also responsible for conducting the daily and weekend activities and events for students. |

The Stardust Center for Affordable Homes and the Family is offering a limited number of scholarships to support Master of Sustainability Solutions (MSUS) students who have proposed culminating experience projects designed to address and advance the need for affordable housing, recognizing that healthy sustainable communities provide a means for families to obtain, remain in and manage their homes.
Culminating experience projects may use the tools of research, community engagement, education, and public forums to raise awareness and build capacity to address the needs for quality affordable homes.
