This role is a job share for one of two Team Leaders posts in our Assessment and Awards Team. Our work is fast paced, with high levels of demand all year round as we deliver against tight deadlines and robust targets. Now, and for the next 18 months, we are working through a programme of process improvement that utilises the talents of our people to identify what isn’t working well, and develop proposals for change based on real experience and expertise.
We are looking for a talented, dynamic, resilient, and enthusiastic individual who would like to pursue their next career step in the role of Team Leader. To be successful in this position, you will be required not only to run efficient processes, but most importantly, to have the personal attributes and capability to bring your people together, getting the best out of every individual while building a strong, shared ethos. Great communication skills and being a regular, adept user of MS Office applications are essential for the role. Please note this is a 0.5 FTE post and the successful candidate will be required to work 18.5 hours per week, spread across 2.5 days (days to be decided dependent on the preference of both post holders).
The nature of this role means that to meet the business needs there will be times the successful candidate will be required to work longer than 18.5 hours per week. These times include, but are not limited to exam and award ceremony weeks.
Where you are required to work longer hours the post holder will be advised well in advance.

Skills:
- Strong computer programming skills with particular emphasis on Python and PostgreSQL
- Strong familiarity with the UNIX/Linux operating environment and web services such as Nginx, Django and RESTful web applications
