Primary Purpose/function
of Position: Responsible for daily operation of the Discovery Room,
including facilitating activities in the Discovery Room for families and school
groups, answering questions about artifacts and specimens in the Discovery
Room, maintaining Discovery Room activities, and assisting with other Education
Programs as needed.
Description of
Responsibilities:
Discovery Room (DR): Works with DR volunteers and
Museum Education staff to operate the DR, including welcoming visitors,
facilitating interaction with Discovery Room objects and activities, greeting
school groups and facilitating weekend programs in the Discovery Room.
Responsibilities will also include keeping the Discovery Room organized and
working with small live animals like reptiles, amphibians and fish.
General
Duties in Education Department: May work with Education
Department staff to prepare educational materials, facilitate education classes
and other duties as assigned.

Required Education: Must be currently enrolled as a student at the University of Oklahoma. Hiring contingent upon
verification of current student status.
