The Student and Academic Services Directorate provides professional leadership for activities that enable the student journey. This journey starts with supporting young people to think about their futures through to managing the underpinning operations of the applicant and student lifecycle; supporting course development, academic quality and standards; delivering broader activities that support our students’ lives and well-being, and working with them to support their success into their futures. The Student Experience & Engagement Department bring together professionals supporting an exceptional student experience and a transformative student journey. The department is made up of six distinct teams covering Widening Participation Outreach, Student Development, Student Voice, Sport & Leisure Services, Chaplaincy & Faith and Progression & Strategy Support. Together we work with City’s community and partners to delivery maximum impact for the students and graduates of tomorrow.
The role holder will be located in the Student Voice team which supports an exceptional student experience via its student partnership and the provision of specialist support for individual students, policy development and strategic decision making. We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and ambitious person to join the team!

Responsibilities
The post is required to support core and developmental activities managed within the Student Voice team. The post will provide high level support for student feedback, representation and improvements to student satisfaction. This will include:
1. Student Voice and Feedback – Welcome Week and Induction Planning, Operational activity for Student Surveys and liaison with Schools, close working relationship with the Students’ Union and understanding of the student representation system
2. Student Satisfaction – co-ordination and attendance of Student Experience Committees, supporting projects related to student satisfaction and good relations on campus and facilitating the partnership approach with the Students’ Union.
3. Development of Student Voice Team – supporting activities such as student cases during peak times, keeping up to date with sector changes in regards to student voice and student satisfaction, assisting in projects in relation to the Education and Student Strategy, Faith and Chaplaincy and supporting broad team development including particular day-to-day support for the Head and Deputy Head.

Minimum Education and Experience |

Child Development Associate (CDA) credential for Preschool Caregivers required or an equivalent credential that addresses comparable competencies; or must obtain the credential within one year of employment as a Classroom Assistant II. |

Skills:
- Strong computer programming skills with particular emphasis on Python and PostgreSQL
- Strong familiarity with the UNIX/Linux operating environment and web services such as Nginx, Django and RESTful web applications
