The AWG Minority Scholarship

The AWG Foundation is now offering its AWG Minority scholarship to encourage young minority women to pursue an education and later a career in the geosciences.  The program is available to a full-time student who is pursuing an undergraduate degree in the geosciences at an accredited college or university.The AWG Foundation funded a $6,000 scholarship with generous support from ExxonMobil and individual donors.

The Hispanic Women’s League(HWL) Scholarship

The mission of the Hispanic Women’s League is to improve the quality of life, assist in the personal and professional development, and advocate for the concerns of the Hispanic woman.  Hence they are offering the HWL scholarship. To eligible, the applicant must be a female of Hispanic origin ( a direct descendant of Hispanic heritage from at least the grandparents), have at least 24-degree credits. Previous Hispanic Women’s League Scholarship Award recipients are not eligible. There will be six $1,000 HWL Scholarships.

The AICPA Fellowship

The American Institute of CPA (AICPA) Fellowship for Minority Doctoral Students ensures that CPAs of diverse backgrounds are visible in college and university classrooms. The program is open to Minority student of Black or African American; Hispanic or Latino; or Native American ethnicity.  The AICPA Foundation awards annual fellowships of $12,000 to full-time minority accounting scholars who demonstrate significant potential to become accounting educators.

The HACU Oracle Scholarship

The Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU) is partnering with the Oracle Corporation to offer four scholarships of $2,125 each. Students at HACU-member institutions can apply for one of the four scholarships to be awarded for the 2017-2018 academic year. The Predoctoral Research Training Fellowship

The Epilepsy Foundation of America awards around 11 fellowships for students working on dissertation research related to epilepsy for the duration of 1 year.Graduate students must be matriculating in a full-time doctoral (Ph.D.) program with an academic career focus.The $20,000fellowship is designed to fund new research, new therapeutic approaches, understanding the behavioral and psychosocial aspects of having epilepsy, and encouraging the professional development of scientists and healthcare professionals.

The HENAAC Scholarship

The Great Minds in STEM Organization is offering HENAAC Scholars Program that consists of three types of scholarships named as Corporate/Government Sponsored Scholarships, Special Recognition Scholarships, and In Memoriam and Personal Tribute Scholarships. The Women Color Scholars Program

The Women of Color Scholars program provides scholarship funds to selected women of color who are Ph.D. or Th.D. students. Any United Methodist woman having at least one parent of African, Hispanic, Native American, Asian, or Pacific Island backgrounds, who has earned a master of divinity degree and is pursuing a doctorate for a career in theological education and religious studies, is eligible to apply. The Department of Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at Saint Louis University seeks MS and PhD candidates for graduate studies in Geoscience with a concentration in Geophysics. Geophysics faculty are interested in applying the tools of seismology to study deep earthquakes, regional tectonics, and earthquake hazards. Prospective students should have a strong quantitative background in geophysics, mathematics, physics, and programming.
